Non Violent Communication

In September,  Suzanne and I had the opportunity to explore another aspect of education that is becoming a key part of the Karuna Bali philosophy and culture.  One of the foundations of Karuna Bali is representing Living Values Education throughout Indonesia as the Associate and in recent times, over the past year,  this global educational alternative has been complemented by another program called "Non Violent Communication".  This is being used very successfully in-house with one another, with our student interaction and in the wider community.  Many of us wanted to learn the techniques.......

We discovered NVC is something everyone can benefit from, it is about how to deal with our own inadequate communication skills and expectation of others.  It teaches us to find self respect, to accept responsibility and discover our own emotions, their source and how to evolve them without projecting onto others.  Similar to LVE, NVC shares through participations, games and interaction demonstrating our dysfunctional potentialities. It was fun and very enlightening.

The entire admin and faculty team of KB along with other educators came together over three days to explore the aspects of discovering another way to manage our communication so that differing opinions, offence and defense might be eliminated.  The results were surprising, highly benefical for us all and made very enjoyable through the superb management of our facilitator - Dorset Ross Campbell, someone with all the qualities and humour and delivery of Robin Williams.

Highly recommended.
