Realising the Vision

What we are coming to recognise is that there is no limit to the possibilities when one engages from the perspective of giving.

As this endeavor progresses it is attracting and extending itself to a point where it is requiring an expansive vision and complete allowance.

For me Bali Outreach has already, in less than a month become an invaluable teaching tool. I am witnessing the most wonderful expression of trust and love and kindness and abundance among those who are becoming drawn into the vortex.

What began initially with Jayem supporting some local girls who were struggling financially due to lack of clients to massage and then in March at the Men’s Retreat as a means for me to personally extend Love - to demonstrate the application of the Christ Teachings by putting my personal desire to be helpful into practice.

This involved the establishment of a simple email/internet awareness program leading to computer familiarity being offered to young Bali people in Ubud - a couple of taxi drivers, a waitress and a hotel cleaner. These young people demonstrated to us how expanded they can become given the chance to realize their potential.

Just these two acts have birthed a vibrant enterprise that has already shown that only we can limit, God/Love does not know the concept.

IN LESS THAN A MONTH……we have witnessed ……

  • Our Balinese friend Toko in generosity, offering to play host to the concept in his building with free rent for five years!
  • Gene through his sharing of abundance to pay for the physical construction of the facility!
  • Suzanne for offering funds to equip the facility and for creating instant cash flow through selling local products!
  • Many people now stepping forward to offer their personal services and skills and knowledge!
  • New support drawn to the Vision - people who are making funding available to provide for the ongoing implementation of the enterprise!

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP - IF THIS FLOW OF LOVE 'TURNS YOU ON' PLEASE COME PLAY WITH US -

SPECIFICALLY.....

Be proud of what Love can do - In less than three weeks from discovering a community need, we have:

Collectively funded 150 school children in conjunction with the John Fawcett Foundation. These are children who are just now attending school, your support has provided uniforms, school books and writing materials – all things impossible for their families to provide. THANK YOU - AWESOME EFFORT !!

Received a donation that allowed us to commence construction on the college facility.

Located our College administrator – Wayan Rustiasa, a unique man who has both the enthusiasm and ‘know-how’ to take responsibility for the administration, teaching curriculums and quality of the College studies offered.

Sold Balinese goods – all made locally in Ubud, raising US$4,000 as a contribution to the College equipment fund.

Provided ongoing financial support to four disadvantaged Kuta families to help them meet extreme hardship.

Launched the BALI Outreach website. Soon to be added is a shop page offering local products and most importantly the means of providing financial support for students or specific programs through regular and one time credit card payment.

Introduced this first news offered to those who were at the inception and those who have since become involved with vision.

IN THE PIPELINE……..

In January, 2007 using the new college facility at Toko’s we have the opportunity to commence the formal student program of:

  • Computer skills: Level 1 and level 2
  • English language skills: Level 1 and level 2
  • Indonesian language evening classes for ex Pats: Level 1

Sponsorship of students is sought from friends of Bali - US$100 being sufficient to provide one student with three months (12 weeks) of training in Basic computer skills and Level 1 English.

Sponsorship/enrollment will be available for 60 students, four times a year. A total of 240 students with a total sponsorship of US$24,000. This is offered on an individual or collective sponsorship basis. Can you help?

Additional College community activities anticipated being implemented and made available in January:

Hospitality Industry training – through Tony at Tropical Bakery Restaurant in Ubud.
Entrepreneurship and small business management – through Miranda.

Many new opportunities are becoming clear as we progress with the venture. The Vision – to help people help themselves is attracting many with skills and services. If you are one of these and would like to become involved, please let us know.

THANK YOU SO MUCH – FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET BEEN TO BALI AND HAVE GIVEN SO GENEROUSLY – KNOW THAT WHEN YOU DO COME TO VISIT US YOU WILL SEE THE BENEFIT FROM YOUR GIVING.
